Meetup.com is a great networking service that offers an easy way to find people in your area who share similar interests. Just enter your zip code and a subject - and you'll get a list of people who want to form a group - or a group that has already formed!

Nevada has two "Beer Lovers" groups. The Southern Nevada group covers the Las Vegas area which includes the suburbs of Henderson and Summerlin. The other group covers the Reno, Sparks and Carson City area of Northern Nevada.

Each site includes an Events Calender listing local brewery tapping parties, beer dinners, beer festivals and other great events! Once you join the group, e-mail invites are automatically sent to you when an event is listed, and a day before the event happens as a reminder to show up for the fun!
